Joel Schonfeld
Joel Schonfeld has been practicing law for over forty-five years.
He has incorporated several brokerage firms, and has worked on public securities offerings with such underwriters as Mercer Capital, Ltd.; Moe Rimson & Co; Lincoln Equities; Brooks, Hamburg Satnick; and Laconia Capital, among others. He also served as a director of Lexington Securities in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Schonfeld served as Chairman of the Board of Beres Industries, Inc., a publicly traded company, and was a director of Phoenix Container, Inc., a multi-million dollar private manufacturing company acquired by BWAY Holding Company, a portfolio company of Madison Dearborn Partners. Mr. Schonfeld served on the Board of Trustees of Adelphi University, and on the Board of Directors of the Gift of Life Foundation. He has been named a Paul Harris Fellow twice. Mr. Schonfeld has been listed in Who’s Who in American Law.
Andrea I. Weinstein
Andrea I. Weinstein graduated from Columbia Law School and Albany State University, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa. She received a certificate in Chinese language from Beijing University, People’s Republic of China. Through a Human Rights program at Columbia Law School, she became the first westerner to intern at a domestic Chinese law firm. Prior to the formation of Schonfeld & Weinstein, L.L.P., Ms. Weinstein worked at Phillips Nizer, L.L.P., and Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel. She was a director of Phoenix Container, Inc., a multi-million dollar private manufacturing company acquired by BWAY Holding Company, a portfolio company of Madison Dearborn Partners, and a founder of Commitment, Inc., a privately held Internet company.
Both Ms. Weinstein and Mr. Schonfeld have handled a wide variety of corporate, real estate, business and probate matters.
